The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) is excited to announce the winner of the Spring 50/50 Raffle.
Cierra Beattie, parent of an ALCDSB student in Kingston, is the lucky winner of the ALCDSB’s Spring 50/50 Raffle, taking home $42,912.50.
She says she learned about the raffle through her son's school.
"I purchased tickets as I support the Foundation and believe it’s a critical resource in today’s society. I have seen firsthand the importance of strong, caring communities that invest in children and families," said Beattie.
"I truly believe in giving back, and this experience has reinforced my appreciation for the dedication of the staff, volunteers, parents, and supporters who make opportunities like this possible. Thank you for all you do to enrich the lives of our students and strengthen our community. I am honoured and deeply appreciative!"
Congratulations to Cierra and her growing family!
The total pot closed at $85,825.00 on Friday, June 19. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle go to the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation, the charity that support students and their families in need of urgent financial assistance. The first ALCDSB 50/50 raffle was in early 2025 and since then, four raffles have taken place, generating over $93,000 for the Foundation. This Spring 50/50 Raffle was the largest raffle pot to date.
The ALCDSB looks forward to another 50/50 Raffle this fall.
